Bringing Your Steel Building Project The Experience It Deserves

What is a Steeldominium?

The explosive popularity of Barndominium Homes surging throughout the country led to Gable Steel’s creation of the Steeldominium. Leveraging the best aspects of pre-engineered steel buildings, barndominium designs, and the comforts of a traditional home, Steeldominiums became a regular offering of Gable Steel in late 2019. By early 2022, Barndominium/Steeldominium designs have been the number 1 most popular requested building offered by Gable Steel.

The most commonly requested features include covered spaces such as hipped gable entrances, overhangs, porches and lean-tos. Additional considerations are given for options to add solar panels to the roof, drywall and drop ceilings on interior walls, openings for chimneys, dormers, and multiple roof lines.

The Projects team at Gable Steel is well versed in the design capabilities of Steeldominiums and is ready to work with you to design your dream home.

IS COLD-FORM RIGHT FOR YOUR PROJECT? Cold-form is not the answer for every steel building. When planning an aircraft hangar, one of the first questions serious buyers ask is: How wide can it actually be without interior columns? Clear span width directly impacts aircraft movement, door sizing, long term flexibility, and overall project cost. Getting this right at the beginning avoids structural limitations later. Let’s break it down. 🏗️ What
When you’re excited to break ground on your steel building project, it’s natural to want to move fast. The dirt is cleared, the crew is ready, and the concrete trucks are standing by. But before you pour a single drop of concrete, there’s one crucial step you cannot skip: waiting for your official engineered plans.

When it comes to insulating your new building, Gable Steel offers a WMP-VRR+ Vinyl backed fiberglass batt insulation.
